Football Protective Gear

Football protective gear is a must when playing the sport. More importantly, the proper protective gear is crucial. There are many things that work together to make a person safer when he is playing football. Even with these things, a player still has a chance to get hurt but wearing some of this protective football gear can dramatically reduce the chance of you getting serious hurt.

One important thing to always wear is your mouth piece. The mouth piece will prevent you from damaging your teeth and biting your tongue. This combined with a helmet is by far the best thing to do which is why they have made it a rule to be properly geared up in your football protective gear.

Shoulder pads prevent your ribs from being broken. When you are buying shoulder pads you should make sure they fit you somewhat tight. It is a pain to run with your pads bouncing all over the place and your football protective gear loose. You also need to make sure you get the right pads that fit your position because if you’re a defensive back and you get linebacker pads the pads will feel awkward when you play. One of the last things to have is a girdle. It is not completely necessary but it makes putting on your pads that much easier. Girdles are practically athletic supporters that have pads built in to them so all you have to put in is the Nutty Buddy to keep safe. It is very important to wear ALL of your football protective gear to ensure the safety of yourself or your fellow athletes.
